Happy Birthday, babies

My babies are one...

how did that happen?

This post could potentially be pretty long, this year sure was in some ways. Consider yourself warned.

I don't even really know where to begin, aside from the obvious choice, the beginning. To keep things somewhat brief in this post, I'll save the pregnancy and detailed birth story for some other time. But anyhow, September 19th, 2012 our girls made their entrance at 7:58 & 7:59 am. This year has been both long and short. Looking at the girls' preemie clothes that were big on them at birth, it now seems impossible they were ever that tiny.

The girls have accomplished so much in their first year. We've been through hospitalizations, surgeries, countless specialists visits, therapies, the list goes on. Through it all, those sweet girls have worked so hard to learn, grow, and meet their milestones, sometimes on their own timeline, but always with determination.

I am extremely proud of how strong my little Lucy is. Things have not come as easy for her, but she works extra hard to learn the task at hand and overcome difficulties. We have an extra special bond that has developed over time at all of these extra appointments and procedures. She is a total mama's girl, and I won't lie, I eat it up. Lucy loo, never give up that determination sweet girl. You can and will accomplish anything you set your mind to. I love you sweet girl.

Betsy boo is such a sweet, loving, happy girl. She has always been the more relaxed of the Wild Things. She is so tender hearted and so smart. She loves to give kisses, even unsolicited ones. I really enjoy how easy things are with her. Betsy baby, keep that sweetness, and tender heart. You are a lover and a people person. The world is yours baby girl. I love you.

I can't imagine what great things the future holds for the Wild Things. They are awesome girls and make my heart so, so happy. I wouldn't trade those early nights of being up with two little girls every 2-3 hours for anything. I am so lucky and so blessed to be the mama to such wonderful girls.

  Happy Birthday my sweet girls.

We'll eat you up,
We love you so.

The problem with a blog is...

It's best updated from a computer. So, naturally as soon as I got my blog up and going and was starting to get into it every single piece of technology I owned revolted.

Sort of funny how that works out. If you know me at all, you know I have notoriously bad luck, especially with gizmos, and gadgets, and without a doubt any time I decide to start something new. So, for now I'm using the app from my phone, which is ok,but the computer is much better.

Anywho, I've got a few updates I'd like to make a proper entry of,so hopefully I can get to a real computer this weekend. The oldest Wild Thing began preschool last week, and the littler Wild Things are too quickly approaching their first birthday. So, lots of exciting happenings to write about.

Until then,
We'll eat you up
We love you so
